Daniele
Carmosino
His first contact with what became his passion was in Genoa, in the 90’s when he was a teenager: he started experimenting with samplers and early sequencers to create beats for the local hip hop underground scene. But his music training really started in London (University of Arts, University of Westminster).
While at University he started producing singers and musicians from the local reggae, urban and dub scene. He then won and completed a year-long scholarship in Italy, in the Music Department of Fabrica (The Benetton Group’s Centre for Research and Communication), after which he applied his skills at Ferdinando Arnò’s Milan music production facility, Quiet, Please! as an in house musician, sound designer and musical consultant.
In 2009 he founded Danca, music production and record label. Since then he’s been working and living in London, New York, Milan* and finally Barcelona, where he’s now based. He has also been releasing records as Daniele Carmosino (classical music elements processed electronically). He is also the main composer and producer of Freedust (vintage grooves with a contemporary twist) and Wild Bounce (four on the floor driven grooves with analogue synths and dusty samples).
Under Danca, Daniele Carmosino has been creating bespoke music and sound design for films, commercials, TV shows and events for brands all over the world Adidas, BMW, Fox, Audi, Bose, Sky just to name a few.
